It is possible to go to Australia without taking the IELTS or any other English language proficiency test, but it depends on your circumstances and the purpose of your visit. For example, if you are applying for a student visa, you are generally required to demonstrate your English language proficiency, which is usually done by taking an English language test such as the IELTS. However, there are some exemptions to this requirement, such as if you have completed at least five years of study in English-medium institutions or have previously studied and completed a qualification in English. For work visas, the English language requirements may vary depending on the visa category and the employer's requirements. It's important to note that exemptions from English language testing requirements are limited, and it's always best to check with the Department of Home Affairs or a registered migration agent to confirm your eligibility for exemption.
