Step 1:

Learner's Permit: Obtain a learner's permit by passing a computer-based theory test at a Department of Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre or Queensland Government Agent Program office. You must be 16 years old to apply for a learner's permit in Queensland.

Step 2:

Logbook: Complete at least 100 hours of supervised driving, including 10 hours of night driving, while holding your learner's permit. You will need to record your driving hours in a logbook.

Step 3:

Hazard Perception Test: Pass a Hazard Perception Test. This test is designed to assess your ability to recognize and respond to potential hazards while driving.

Step 4:

Practical Driving Test: Pass a Practical Driving Test which tests your ability to drive safely on the road.

Step 5:

Provisional License: Once you have completed the above requirements, you can apply for a provisional license. This will allow you to drive on your own but with some restrictions, such as not being able to carry more than one passenger under the age of 21 during the first year of holding the license.

Step 6:

Full License: After holding your provisional license for at least two years, you can apply for a full driver's license.
